Description

Once a woman goes through the delivery process to birth her new baby, many times the focus is now on the baby, instead of mom's recovery process and healing her body. On this show I wanted to talk about dad's role in helping mom once she comes home from the hospital, and how a postpartum doula can be a big help. Joining me is Rachel Mahan, Founder of Bella Bambini (www.bellabambiniinc.com), a postpartum doula and baby nurse, to discuss how a postpartum doula is there to help "mother the mother" so that she can focus on recovering, healing and taking care of her baby. Then Gregory Keer, fatherhood expert and publisher of www.familymanonline.com, and I talk about dads role and how important it is to get involved early by helping mom to recover and taking on responsibilities with the baby.
